Aqua Dots Recalled For Containing Date Rape Drug

Five children have been hospitalized after they swallowed beads from a toy called “Aqua Dots” that is made in Communist China.
The toys have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found the beads are sprayed with a chemical that converts into the powerful date rape drug called GHB.
The coating on the beads is used so they can stick to each other when water is added .
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said late Wednesday:
“Children who swallow the beads can become comatose, develop respiratory depression or have seizures,”
The products, marketed by Spin Master Ltd. of Toronto, sold for $17 to $30 and were available at stores including Toys “R” Us, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Target Corp. from April through this month.
