Barbara Schwartz Stabbed to Death By Son Jonathan: Cops

New Yorkers are in shock at the news of wealthy philanthropist Barbara Schwartz at the hands of her son Jonathan.

Police say that Jonathan, 41 stabbed his mother to death.

The assault came over the weekend when Jonathan and his mother Barbara, 67 got into an argument and the man went berserk with a knife ending her life there in her home.

Cops say Jonathan in a rage stabbed his mother in the bedroom of the luxury apartment and then he himself called police. He was then charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Neighbors say that Jonathan was spoiled and had given his mother some grief over the years. The family was wealthy having inherited their money from the late patriarch Norman Weiden.

Some say the man had psychological problems in the past but none were cited by the police or news sources.

The Weiden Schwartz Fischler Family had dished out money to many charities over the years and the death of Ms. Schwartz is sure to cause many to be crestfallen from the news.
