Bishop Eddie Long Live-New Birth Pastor Addresses Sexual Allegations – Bishop Eddie Long has fired back at his accusers, saying that they are lying about his sexual misconduct. Long told his church members that he would be fighting the charges “very vigorously.”
As of right now, four different men have stepped forward to say that Bishop Eddie Long had taken them on international trips with him, showering them with gifts while trying to persuade them to take part in a sexual relationship with him. The men also said in their suits that he used his power within the church to make them feel uncomfortable during the process.
As soon as the news came out and made its way online, representatives for Long vehemently denied the claims, saying that they were “disappointed” that the young men had chosen to take the route that they did. During his return to his church on Sunday, Long made it very clear that he was innocent, and that he was going to fight as hard as he could for his good name.
“I am anxious to respond directly to these false allegations and I will do so,” Long said in a statement. He also went on to say that he had been advised to utilize patience during the process, but assured his fellow church members that he would fight against the suit and would not settle.
It will be interesting to see how Long continues to respond to the allegations, and whether or not he decides to continue to address the concerns publicly.

My prayers goes out to the family.It’s so shameful how our people conduct themselves after all the years that have gone by my question is why now? We are always bashing each other instead of protecting one another..I really don’t entertain the hearsay get it from the horses mouth…The media really needs to STOP IT…Let this man continue to keep his job and move on…Thank god that his members are behind him 100% continue to stand by his side….

Bishop Long and his family are in my prayers. Only God knows what the outcome will be because God is the final Judge.
my prayers are with the family. i hope they all know that they are not just hurting the bishop, but also the bishop immediate family. people likes to heard gossip that will make you falls,but remember whoever falls just got to get up. Whatever the situation turns out to be; sin is sin,and we all are guilty of it. This bishop is in the position to influence many lives and as we can see, “he has, and still is doing that”. Gifts come without repentence. God can use anyone. He is a forgiving God and He won’t change up on us with conditional love like man will. Just like the people of the world role deep; the church roles deep too and are standing behind the bishop 100%. Let’s not forget the sins that we have committed and no one knows about it but God, the other person(s) involved, and you!I pray for the covering and peaceful surroundings for the Long family and I claim total victory over the situation, the accusers, the media, and all of the haters. I pray for healing and deliverance for the accusers and their families also.
May God strenghten you during these times. Prayer is the answer. Remember Jesus was also accused.

Why are we so quick to believe the media? It is so much easier to get caught up in the negativity of news in which nothing has been proven just a bunch of allegations, “he said she said they said stuff”
I really hope he would not lie and say he is not guilty, and then go to court and have it turn out that he be guilty. What would that do to his family and to his church family that he claims to love so dearly? I hope for their sake he is being truthful. If the allegations are true, then I hope justice is served and he sees to it to do the right thing and confess it, and serve his time, pay his dues. My prayers and meditations go out to all those suffering in abusive situations, and they will be strong and escape and heal their hearts. God will prevail, and whether he is found guilty in man’s court, according to what this bishop believes about God, he will still be punished if he has indeed committed these crimes. I think covering up your crime in front of an audience and continuing to harbor your guilt is far worse than getting caught and confessing it to begin with… May the judge and jury be fair and just, and may JUSTICE prevail, and not just whoever has the most money and can get the better lawyer, or who has more political ties can get off for their crime…(perfect examples… OJ!, Lohan, Vick, Hilton, Bush, etc…)
I hope that the victims in this case get just as much support if these allegations are found to be true. It is very hurtful to know that you have been wronged and just because your accuser is in a postition of authority, they throw the victims under the bus first. Let’s hope for the best in this case.
I am not his judge nor jury, and it hurts when you hear of another man of God falling, or caught up in controversy. I hope for the sake of christiandom and Preachers everywhere that stand for the Word of God, this is not true. Pastor Long, we are praying for you and your family, that this too shall pass. For we are to pray for one another and uphold you as our brother. For the word of God states “judge not that ye be not judged” and only God knows the truth….and the truth shall stand.
My heart goes out to everyone involved. Are we our brother’s keeper? Yes, we are. We are to keep each other lifted, because it is Bishop Long today and could be my house tomorrow. I am believing God to reverse the assignment of the enemy over Bishop Long and the young men. Whatever the enemy means for bad, I’m believing for God to turn it for the good. “All things, worketh together for the good of them, who loves the Lord!”
Praise God for the good as well as the bad. Before every blessing there is opposition. I don’t know the outcome of all these allegations against a true man of god. I do know God keeps the books. We are not judges on earth and sure not the judge in heaven.I am praying for Bishop Long and his family, church and etc. Also I am praying for the accusers and that God reveals the truth. There is nothing hidden want be revealed the bible quotes.

None of us are perfect, but I see how the enemy works, it seems with all that is said negative, it stands higher than the man Bishop Long has been. With these allegations, & all that he has been or try to be, they weigh more that the honest man he is also it has shown what folk really went to New Birth for. It was to worship man, Bishop and not God. Those who truly worshipped God, will continue to support him even if he is guilty or not and help him to be strong and what God called him to be, that dynamic speaker, I really hate how folk always jump on the band-wagon of bad without even knowing, the media, the radio programs as they did with Michael but when Michael died, they loved him, that is the world for yah, I will say, there is something greater behind this than meets the eye and with God on Bishops side, God will let the truth be revealed, he is happy b/c he trust and know God. He is a human and is entitled to mistakes but mistakes are to grow. We are so quick to point fingers and forget to look at ourselves, we tend to run with the crowd, that is the world. I see that we have no fear of God, Bishop is human but a man in GOD, we should (the media) still address him as Bishop, I pray that everyone the accusers and the accused will both come out and still as for Bishop, innocent til proven Guilty!!
