A team of scientists led by Kong Il-keun have managed to clone three cats that glow in the dark.Kong Il-keun, and other cloning experts at the Gyeongsang National University produced the cats by manipulating a fluorescent protein gene, a procedure which could help develop treatments for human genetic diseases.But one of the side-effect is the fact that the animals glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet beams.The leading scientist, Kong said:

“This technology can be applied to clone animals suffering from the same diseases as humans,”"It will also help develop stemcell treatments,” he said, noting that cats have some 250 kinds of genetic diseases that affect humans, too.

Sim Jae-duck was born in a restroom and now he plans to live and die in one that costs US$1.6 million toilet-shaped house designed to promote his tireless campaign for cleaner loos worldwide.
Jae-duck has made his political career as South Korea’s Mr. Toilet by beautifying public restrooms.
Mr Sim will open what is billed as the world’s one and only toilet house on November 11 to mark the launch of his World Toilet Association.
The group is supported by the South Korean government, aims no less than to launch a “toilet revolution,” by getting people to open their bathroom doors for the sake of improving worldwide hygiene.

Representatives from 60 countries will gather in Seoul to spur the creation of national toilet associations of their own and spread the word about hygiene. Organizers argue the issue deserves greater attention and cite U.N. figures that some 2.5 billion people live without proper sanitation or water supplies.
The 419sq metre concrete and glass structure is rising on the site of Sim’s former home in his native city of Suweon, 40km south of Seoul.
Before he moves in, anyone who is flush with funds can rent it for US$50,000 a day ,with proceeds going to his campaign to provide poor countries with proper sanitary facilities.
Apart from two bedrooms, two guestrooms and other rooms, the two-storey house and of course it features three deluxe toilets.
