Charles Bolden NASA Administrator:Charles F. Bolden Obama – President Barack Obama revealed earlier today that retired astronaut Gen. Charles Bolden has been selected to lead NASA.Obama has also chosen former NASA associate administrator Lori Garver to become the agency’s No. 2.Bolden, who is 62, joined NASA in 1980.Obama said of Bolden and Garver in a statement:
“These talented individuals will help put NASA on course to boldly push the boundaries of science, aeronautics and exploration in the 21st century and ensure the long-term vibrancy of America’s space program.”
If the Senate confirms Mr Bolden, he will be the space agency’s first African American administrator.
