If you folks are not seriously considering jumping ship , and having feelings of embarrassment ( you should be ). Your McCain/Palin ticket is quickly becoming the laughing stock in American politics. McCain wanting to suspend the first debate is nothing more then saying he is not ready and Palin is not ready for prime time.

Listen there really isn’t a soft way to put this; Palin on the Katy Couric interview just verified the fact that she takes stupid to a whole new level. This ticket is just way to Risky and not ready to lead ( Period ).

I don’t mind that he speaks his mind, but I do dismiss it out of hand.

I’m a bit worried about the religious right wanting to run my life, but I’m also worried about the leftwing wackos, who want to do exactly the same thing.

I think McCain and Palin is as close as we are going to come to a centrist who will take his/her hands OFF my life and just let me live how I want.

Obama doesn’t seem to be a bad man, but I’m a bit worried that he is too far left to leave me alone.

And Chevy Chase needs to worry about making a movie anyone wants to go see…been a while…

Factorfan is right, but doesn’t go far enough. Unfortunately, our media is filled with boneheads on tv. While I agree with Chevy Chase, do we really give a damn (notice the correct spelling of the word) about what he thinks? No. He’s only on tv to get people riled up in one way or another. What it comes down to is the total distraction of the real issues. That’s why people like Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, Bill O’liely, Rush, Keith Olberman (the list goes on and on) etc. have shows on tv and radio. While many of us may agree with their positions, we are being blindsided. We are literally taking sides of people and issues that don’t matter. The pursuit of life, liberty and happiness is a complete joke in this country, particularly because none of us have a clue when it comes to media literacy. Many of us can’t seem to separate fact from fiction. One last (seemingly unrelated) point: I’m Christian, but I want (all) religion to keep its hands off our laws and our government to keep its laws off my body. Listening to Sarah Palin’s rhetoric makes me scared…Scared enough to stop supporting John McCain.

I enjoy the freedom that here in America we can express ourselves, celebrity or not. Not all celebrities are well informed and well educated
but quite a few of them are. I agree with Chevy Chase, we dont know anything about this woman except she kills elk, has babies and does not like to talk to the american people about who she is and what she can do to help this country at all!!!!We need answers more now than ever.

While the voting process is private, the campaigning and days preceding the vote is anything but private. Not only are the opinions of two bit actors broadcast, but so are the opinions of two bit talk show hosts, two bit pundits, two bit politicians, two bit “bloggers”, and even just random interviews with two bit people are put on the air waves.
Why do some people get so angry when they hear an opinion or point of view they disagree with?

Here we go again some two bit actor who thinks we give a dam what he thinks. I have already said it once. Stop using the star power that the American people gave you to try and make our minds up for us. We little people do not have the means to draw a reporter to us to hear our opinions. The voting process is private and you freaking Hollywood ass should remember that. Keep your dam thought to yourself.
