Cinco De Mayo – Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that is celebrated on May 5th in Mexico and in the United States.It is a day when Mexicans commemorate the Mexican army victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín.
Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day,which actually is September 16 (dieciséis de septiembre in Spanish).
