It must give you a great sense of achievement to attack one of the only two parties you probably know anything about.
This was a very bold move to go on such a Kool Aid high driven rant. You are a cartoonist in a prosperous economy with discretionary income just bursting through the seams of the US economy. You do not have to worry about job security being your work keeps this Country running.
Keep up the hard work Gary.. we are all inspired by your contributions to America.

I only read this because I heard what a pile of crap it was on the news. Sorry Mr. Trudeau, I’ve never read your comics before today, never heard of them, and will never read them again.

As a registered independent, I have no problem with this comic. It’s far from ‘polite’ but… come on, it’s true! Anyone that dismisses it is simply trying to spin it as a ‘personal attack’. I remind those of the ‘glass houses’ metaphor. Republicans talk a good game but, far too often, their actions in the real world do not back up their holier-than-thou BS. This isn’t to say democrats are perfect. Far from it. But at least they’re not throwing stones.

Never heard of Doonesbury??? Have you been living under a rock? It’s been around for decades and has been in practically every newspaper printed over that period of time, even some that don’t have a comics section. It’s been a recognizable part of American culture for a long time.
All that aside, Everything he mentions is fact, my friend. Indisputable fact. Facts cannot be mean, they simply exist whether you like them or not.
