Edouard:Hurricane Edouard & Tropical Storm Edouard-Edouard is the name of the latest storm that is weeping over Louisiana and Texas.Hurricane Edouard also called hurricane Edward is packing 50-mph sustained winds, and is expected to strengthen due to the Gulf’s warm waters by the time it hits Texas on Tuesday morning.Rebecca Waddington, a meteorologist at the National Hurricane Center in Miami said:

I urged residents in the path of the storm to continue watching it and warned that tropical storms can still be very powerful.

Tropical storm Edouard is located at the moment at about 80 miles east-southeast off the mouth of the Mississippi River and about 390 miles east of Galveston Texas and was moving west at 5 mph.
Krista Piferrer, a spokeswoman for Texas Gov. Rick Perry, said :

The state emergency management officials were getting updates through conference calls with the National Weather Service.

Many of the Gulf’s offshore oil and natural gas drilling platforms sit in the storm’s path.
