Florida Federation Of Republican Women Boycott Oprah

Florida Federation of Republican Women Boycott Oprah-Florida Federation of Republican Women /FFRW is calling for an Oprah boycott because she will only have Sarah Palin on her show after the election is over.Linda Ivell, President of Florida Federation of Republican Women /FFRW said in a statement:

“Women in Florida helped build Oprah into the icon she is today.”"We are deeply disappointed in Ms. Winfrey’s decision to sit out the greatest political moment in the history of women since suffrage.”

Oprah recently said:

“At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a plat for any of the candidates.”

That’s all we have for now on the Florida Federation Of Republican Women Boycott Oprah.

You all have a lot of nerves to try to boycott a women billionaire, no weapon form against her will prosper. Not all women feel Sarah Palin is the best person to run this country should something happen to John McSain. I guess you see you don’t get everything you want so just wait until after the election. It Oprah’s show and she’s running it, not the florida federation of republican women. Just because you supported her doesn’t mean you call the shots!

I love Oprah, I will be watching a lots and lots of Oprah show. Why not boycott Elene. I am so glad that Oprah, is not giving into blackmail.Linda Ivell, who do you thing you are.

Oprah on National Televison, a program, directed to women has made a very poor decision
not interviewing Sarah Palin. However, I totally boycott anything to do with Oprah and feel that after the election Palin should not make an Oprah apprearance.

Not all of us are enamored by Sarah Palin. She is eminently unqualifed to be Vice President. And …governor of Alaska – wow! As if Alaska (or Hawaii, for that matter) has anything in common with the continental United States; they shouldn’t even be states.

Let’s recognize Sarah Palin for who she is: George W. Bush with a vagina.

Hello there…Hope someone of intelligence will read this and understand how baffling it is to watch, helpless, while America trashes itself in this election. Here are the facts as we KNOW them to be, from factual records:

I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..

    * If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re ‘exotic, different.’

    * Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American story.

    * If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

    * Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.

    * Graduate from Harvard law School and you are unstable.

    * Attend 5 different small colleges never graduating, you’re well grounded.

    * If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.

    * If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.

    * If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.

    * If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.

    * If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.

    * If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.

    * If your wife is a Harvard graduate laywer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.

    * If you’re husband is nicknamed ‘First Dude’, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.

    OK, much clearer now.

This is how sad it appears to be…and, on the day when American greed by those immoral executives who took bonuses they didn’t deserve to ruin our economy and those of the UK and Europe and the World…the question is: HOW COULD THIS BE HAPPENING TO AMERICA???? Are Americans THIS stupid???

I don’t blame Oprah for not having McPalin on her show, it’s her show and she can do whatever she wants. There are plenty of us that can do without listening to that shrew more than we have to already. I predict that John McSame is going to regret this choice sooner or later. There is more to this gal than meets the eye and it will all come out. Choosing McPalin shows what bad judgement McSame has and he will just shove our country further into the ditch than we already are. What puzzles me, is that more people have not figured it out yet.

I seriously hope that America understand that McCain seems more like an opportunist than someone wanting to represent the people of America and then asking PALIN, who is obviously unqualified to be a Vice President. What has America come to thinking these two are what is best for this country? And to think I thought the Republican where a little brighter than that. OPPS! George W. Bush, Never mind…
I am not a republican or a democratic. I am a person who loves my country and want what is best for the people of the country. And not to repeat what has happen to us in the last 8 years. So please help me understand, how these two even made it to the ballot.

By the way I will be watching more of Oprah and just purchase another subscription of O mag. Florida Federation of Republican Women get over it. So Oprah doesn’t want Palin on her show. Guess what, it’s a free county and it IS her show and I am proud to know that she isn’t bending to there blackmail.

Has she had Biden on the show? Palin is running for VP, not President. I could understand the argument about having McCain, since she had Obama, but Palin?

Methinks those Florida Republican Women need to get over themselves.

Oprah has the right to interview who ever she wants to on her show. After all, she earned that right and no one should judge her on her decision. As soon as Sarah Palin gets her own show she too can make the decision to interview who she wants to. It’s doen’t make sense to even suggest that Sarah is so needy that she needs to be on Ophrah to appeal to women….Now who’s the the winer.

I’m confident that Ophrah isn’t loosing a bit of sleep over this Nonsense. Neither am I. I’m a 40 something middle class Georgia-Walmart-Soccer mom and I CAN NOT identify with Sarah Palin. Specifically, I will NEVER approve of a someone who claims to be a LOVING mother but would dare to have a loaded firearm around her children. Oh, and please don’t get me started of Palin’s disapproval of abortion even in the case of incest & rape. She’s insane. The pollsters are not asking the right people. They’re only targeting SPECIFIC groups. I can’t find 1 woman that I know who supports Palin. Additionally, I have tons of female Florida relatives who will NEVER support Palin. GO OBAMA-BIDEN!!!!!

Yet, she spends an entire show supporting a Senate Bill brought forth by Biden??

If she was a REAL journalist she would allow ALL parties to appear on her show rather than NONE. Journalists need to remember they are there to REPORT the news and views of others not to interpret it or share their own views.

I boycotted Oprah not just because she pointed to Barak Hussien Obama, but also because she has lost it. She is in a new age cult….I’ve been done with Oprah…she shouldn’t be pointing to anyone, or leading anyone. I think Sarah is better off not having been invited…that interview would most likely turn out similar to how “The View” interviewed John McCain vs. Barak Obama. I’m sick of all the slanted and tainted media. I’ve boycotted all the hate-monger stations. They have proven at least on their side of the fence, fair and balanced reporting and media are dead.

Oprah Winfrey has the right to choose her guests, however she should be honest about her motives. Clearly, she is one of Obama’s biggest “campaigners”. She draws a vast audience and inspires tremendous influence over her viewers. Her decision not to have Palin on the show, just as she chose not to invite Hillary Clinton during the primaries, appears to have been calculated. A former Oprah fan, I will not longer watch her show or buy her magazine. She appears to have moved beyond entertainment to political manipulation. Not what I am looking for.

  22. Joyce | Oct 1, 2008 | Reply

Do you think that Oprah cares whether you boycott her show or not? Thank God she doesn’t. It’s okay as long as she stands on the issues that you want her to take a stand on. My honest opinion is that you rather see a not so smart white female have the chance to rule the United States of America rather than an intelligent black man. Is it true that you would rather have any white woman in office whether qualified or not? Palin couldn’t give Katie Couric a straight answer about a simple matter such as news sources. Personally, I was offended that she stood her pregnant unmarried daughter in the face of our nation like we were suppose to like it. Especially, when minority teenage girls are given a bad rap like sluts, no counts, etc. But one newscaster made it okay for Palin’s daughter by saying “she got caught up in the moment.” Like most young women don’t get caught up in the moment if she doesn’t use her commonsense. Well, where was her Momma to teach her morals, and values? Out shooting a moose! How hipocritical of Christian values. And, you are hipocrits for supporting her. It is folks like you that have created such a havoc in our country today. All you do is complain and scheme how to benefit from the hard labor of others. Thank you Oprah for taking a stand.

Oh, c’mon, Republican ladies. Nobody takes that donkey Palin seriously. I keep waiting for somebody in the Republican party to stand up and announce that her V.P. candidacy has been just a bad joke. Even if McCain gets elected and she rides into office on his coat tails, she’ll still be just a donkey braying her stupidity to the world.

The Florida Federation of Republican Women is seemingly a group of sad, racist opportunists. This group apparently is disgruntled over the Presidential Democratic Nominee.

Oprah’s show seems not to be “falling apart” just because a few unhappy viewers refuse to watch her show.

You try to slant the truth, but truth will prevail: Oprah’s show is doing well; her ratings are still high. And, Barack is still the Democratic Nominee.

Great, you made me decide to subscribe to the “o” magazine!! I think its great Oprah didn’t have the most completely unqualified, unknowing of the facts and worst VP Candidate in my life time on her show! She doesn’t deserve to be on a show where women are well informed, smart and intelligent and understand hot political issues!!
You are a bunch of women that think Blacks should jump to your demands, it ain’t happening!!

Imagine if Oprah Windbag had invited Gov. Palin to appear on her show. Then imagine if Gov. Palin had the integrity and savy to turn her down. The big O would look pretty stupid, even more stupid than usual, and that’s saying a lot. Oprah made her fortune catering to the ignorance of her rabid pathetic viewers. More power to her and her complete contempt for real substance, and her devotion to the dreary exploitation of miserable people. Oprah must have read H.L. Menken who wrote “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public”. She has in fact built her fortune with this concept. Sadly however, while she is rolling around like a pig in mud in her $$$$$$, she is morally and ethically bankrupt. YOU GO GIRL!

Ladies, why are you not up in arms about McCain not being invited to be on Oprah’s show? The last time I looked, Oprah’s guests have been both men and women. Are you saying Palin should be invited because she is a woman? It can’t be because Oprah had Obama on who is now a presidential candidate because if that was the case, you would be ranting about McCain not being asked. Wake up. Some of you women want to be in positions with men and as soon as you do,you begin expecting special treatment because you are a female.I am a woman and I am so tired of women expecting to be treated with kid gloves when you want to be in the same arena with the man.You can’t ask certain questions because someone is going to scream “sexist”. You have to be careful not to be “too hard” on her. Yet, she can sling all the mud she wants.Palin is running for the VP
of this country, not for mother of the year. You talk of fairness? If that was your concern again, I say you would be boycotting because of no invite to McCain. And this remark is for Andrew191 – you might try to get some of that integrity you think Palin has and envy and such hatred is destructive to the one feeling it.

    Dee,

I’m so sorry, I must have forgotten that there are now designated “Sacred Cows” in this country that are beyond criticism. Perhaps my wording wasn’t perfect, but it was meant to convey disgust, not hatred. I don’t hate Oprah, or even Obama for that matter, I am very disgusted though by their phoniness and how they the have used slick con man tactics to get where they are. It’s sad that with attitudes like yours, in the future, opinions like mine could get me sent to re-education camp.

I will boycott Oprah because she does not want “The One” to screw things up ( and those are Michelle’s words to BO, not mine). Remember her school in Africa and how it went down in flames…well, BO won’t go down under Oprah’s watch. You thought the elections were over. Oh no, Oprah will be campaigning for him for the next eight years.

She is using the power WE gave her to do this. She is going after the red states. It will take her four years to do this. Stand up, women, and don’t be lambs to slaughter. Oprah is not God and she does not always know what’s best. She did not conceive BO through a miracle birth. He got president by breaking his promise and accepting private money. Did you hear that? HE BROKE HIS PROMISE…something he will do once in office. Because he made wayyyyy too many promises.

I like the position Michelle is taking. She said she is going to be mom in Chief at the White House. Such strange words coming from a ‘mom’ who sees nothing wrong with killing a baby who is 9 months along. I’m done with the elections and Oprah.
