Germany Spain Score:FIFA World Cup 2010

Germany Spain Score:FIFA World Cup 2010 – Everyone was predicting an exciting match-up between Germany and Spain. Both teams have very powerful players and each one has the desire and determination to win the tournament. In South Africa, you have to give it up to the Germans for making the World Cup tournament interesting before we’ve even got to the finals. Spain has tried exceptionally hard to pretend that the rematch of the 2008 European Championship title game at Wednesday night’s World Cup semifinal is not as spectacular as it seems. However, the players aren’t buying it.
Lukas Podolski playing for Germany commented, “We want revenge for 2008. When you are in a final you want to win. We still think about that defeat, and it still hurts. We want to reach the final and we’ll do all we can to achieve that.”
The buildup behind the Germany-Spain game has created an atmosphere much like you would find at the final games. Everyone is dying to see the results and with Spain on a 44-year title run including their victory of Germany two years ago with 1-0 score, they’re sure to put up a challenge. However Germany is an entirely reconstructed team now. They have new players, new talent and new desire to take their victory all the way. The age of their players is younger and the attitudes are more aggressive. They want the win as badly as everyone else and they won’t stop until they get it.
Some of the younger players include Mesut Oezil, Sami Khedira and Thomas Mueller who’ve given Germany a new edge over its opponents. They’re quick to their feet, sharp on the ball and they have the goal in their sights.
Spain won the game thanks to Carles Puyol’s 74th-minute header for a score of 1-0.
