GOP Women Over-Sexualized?

GOP Women Over-Sexualized? – Some have said that GOP women are more likely to be sexualized in their political careers than men. The trend has been constant over the course of the last few years. Sarah Palin felt the pressure during her vice presidential campaign, and has continued to be sexualized in the media and online. So have Michele Bachmann, Michelle Malkin and Nikki Haley. The list does not stop there, and spreads to republican talk show hosts like Ann Coulter.
The question has been asked many times; should Sarah Palin embrace her sexuality as she campaigns politically. It certainly isn’t a subject that she has shied away from during speaking engagements. Not that she discusses her sex life to a public forum, but she does often speak about family values and sexuality in America.

The trend has spread online, where Palin has a number of websites that are dedicated to her ”hotness.” Some polling during the 2008 presidential election suggests that her good looks attributed to her early success in the polls, before both she and McCain fell sharply just before the election.
It’s odd to see women treated this way publicly. Palin famously had a porn movie made about her just after the conclusion of the last presidential election, featuring a porn star that dressed up like Palin. The trivializing of women in politics is not really a new thing. It has been going on for many years, and dates as far back as Jackie Kennedy. Marilyn Monroe, who was heavily involved with a number of politicians, is another good example.

That’s because GOP women look SO MUCH BETTER than their liberal counterparts.

Look at (google) Susan Estrich, Janette Garafalo, and that half man/half woman on MSNBC Rachel Maddow on MSNBC!

Then, look at Shannon Bream, Megyn Kelly, Ann Coulter, Margaret Hoover, Sarah Palin, Dana Perino, janine Turner.

It’s a pity so many Republican men don’t go for sexy women, but instead go after mano a mano sex in in places like public restrooms, or chase adolescent boys and male prostitutes.

Of course one look at Ann Coulter and I began to understand . . .

Guess what–women are different than men. What a shock, huh? A lot of a woman’s power is in her looks–and Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin are both hot ladies, as well as being competent human beings. As far as Ann Coulter’s looks–and Republican men’s sexuality–I’m sure Ann has never had to buy a drink for herself since she turned 21. And as far as Democrat women: have you seen those faded out, raggy haired, Birkenstock-wearing, worn out hippies from the sixties at the Democrat Convention? One thing is for sure, no one will ever bother to sexualize them. It used to be the reverse–but that was then and this is now.
