Health Care Bill Text Summary Online Vote Sunday – Late last night the Congressional Democrats finally unveiled the final version of President Barack Obama’s historic and controversial health care bill which is set for a House vote this Sunday.Here is a break down of the health care reform.
-According to the Congressional Budget Office’s report it will cost 940 billion over 10 years.
-It has the potential to cover 32 million uninsured starting in 2014.
-95% of Americans are required to be insured or else pay a fine (starting in 2014) exempt for low-income people.
-Taking effect in 2014 it will become illegal for insurers to deny coverage to people with medical problems or charging them more.Additionally higher premiums for women would be banned.
-No health plan would be asked to offer coverage for abortion.
-Beginning in 2011, most seniors will be getting a 50% discount on brand name drugs.
- Starting in 2018 individuals making more than $200,000, or married couples above $250,000 will be facing a 3.8 percent tax increase in order to pay for the bill.

If this passes, our country is going to be stepping backwards in time. It won’t be long after this our guns will be taken and then all rights under the constitution. It will not make the people who don’t take care of themselves see doctors regularly and take good care of themselves. They will still go to the emergency room when they feel like it. Now the cost will be passed along to taxpayers. The intentions were good, but the results will not be what were intended. Gone is the American freedom to pursue wealth through working. Health care was a benefit, like a paycheck, you used to earn it. That’s OK, since President Obama has been in office, half the number of people who didn’t have insurance(30 Million), now don’t have jobs(15million). Less people to pay for what will cost more. This will get interesting in a few years when the illegal immigrants flood the country and there’s no way to stop them from using the free healthcare. We just keep making it sweeter to come here for the freebies. No major actions have been taken to secure our borders. It’s great to fix things, but I wonder what the priorities are, spin the wheel and see what’s next, Economy, Security. Only thing being pushed for is publicize your sexual preference in the military. Gosh that could have been left private for a little while longer. Like until we are NOT in the middle of an uphill battle against people who want to destroy America. They hide and run away, and hit us when we are relaxed and trying to enjoy ourselves. Don’t fight fair, how should we fight back? We try to be humane and fair, but sometimes you have to adjust a little.
Chester, just wanted to correct you on a few facts: the fact that people are losing jobs one year after Obama is in office does not imply that Obama caused it. Correlation does not imply causation, duh. And also, HEALTH CARE BILLS ARE THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF BANKRUPTCY IN THE U.S.A. This bill is going to HELP the majority of American people with their payments by not allowing corporations to take (as much) advantage over people.

It’s time to make a change– I hope this bill passes! And maybe one day “socialist” schools will actually get some money too!….or maybe people like you won’t see the value of that either….
I love that even though I already pay 38% of my income to taxes I’m going to get another 3.8% on top of that. God forbid I go to college and become successful in a profession. I guess the $80k I already pay in taxes is just not enough for the no loads. Quit my job, get everything handed to me, that’s what I’m getting from this president.
Don’t you realize that there is no such thing as “Free” healthcare. Where do you think the money comes from? Anytime there’s a perception that something is free, people abuse and take advantage of it. You need to wake up. Apparently, people want the US to turn into a European country. People have flocked to this country because of FREEDOM, not Free stuff.
Personally I think the first think Obama should stick to the initial promises of taxing the rich (once again) and penalizing those who take work out of this country. Even Clinton saw the problems with wealth leaving this country and taxed the rich. Guess what the economy started growing and jobs started coming again. With as bad as Bill Clinton was he had the right idea. Anyone who wants to live in this country should pay fair taxes on their income. After all we’re not colonial england.

The bill is stupid all together. Why the heck should everyone be required to pay for healthcare or pay a fine? That is total b.s. I agree with the first comment, this bill is a failure.
