Hit A Jew Day:Parkway West Middle School Students Face Punishment
Hit A Jew Day:Parkway West Middle School Students Face Punishment – “Hit a Jew Day” was created by several sixth-graders,at a suburban St. Louis middle school. They are now being disciplined for it,after allegedly hitting Jewish classmates. The twisted story took place in Parkway West Middle School in Chesterfield, last week.Close to 10 Jewish students, were hit.According to District spokesman Paul Tandy, most students were hit on the back, and one got slapped on his face.Tandy also added:
“There is a mix of sadness and outrage.”"The concern is a lot of kids knew about it and they didn’t take action or say anything.”

hello my name is brandy i am a sixth grade student from west middle i know what we did was wrong but we are just kids we are known to make mistakes and we are bound to make more every body makes mistakes and if your not smart enough to know that then you need to go back to first grade. all we are trying to say is that why make such a big deal out of what kids do in your life its like now this is the biggest news. how about doing something good with your life help out charity or something because if you would spend your time on something that is not that important then do it but god gave you life for a reason and your spending it the wrong way you only have one life make your choice and we do not want to see this world wide agian or else our country will be bombed soon

Why doesn’t the school teach focus on teaching about diversity and tolerance?
Obviously, that’s the problem. Kids didn’t understand the severity of this “joke”.

idea, please don’t say that. We ARE taught about tolorence and diversity. I am a student there myself and I’m from a foreign country. To me, it seems like that’s all the USA is focused on. Diversity. No one stops to look at our similarities. I belive that’s the problem. After all, if we all thought of each other that were alike instead of different, we wouldn’t be going through this. After all, who would insult another if the two are similar in the same way? It would be like insulting yourself.
Sure the kids didn’t understand what was so wrong about it, but i belive that when it was said “hit on the back”, i’m pretty sure it was just a friendly tap. I’m a grade above those kids, so I don’t know a whole lot of the ACTUAL truth.
As for the “obviously, that’s the problem,” I disagree. The real problem here is that the news has nothing better to write about exept a small misunderstanding INSIDE the school. The whole state of Missouri does not need to be informed of such.
