Ingrid Betancourt Free - Ingrid Betancourt who was being held captive by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) has been rescued along with 14 other hostages which include Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes et Keith Stansell who are Americans.Betancourt who is now 46 years old now,is a French-Colombian politician who was a presidential candidate in Colombia when she was kidnapped on the 23rd of February in 2002.Her children Lorenzo and Melanie said that :
We are feeling “an indescribable joy”.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who contributed to this liberation is said to be very happy.
