Ira Einhorn Holly Maddux Murderer:Ira Einhorn Earth Day – Ira Einhorn is famous for many reasons,some are good and others are very bad.
The good:
Ira Einhorn aka “The Unicorn Killer” was active in ecological groups and is considered as a founder of Earth Day in 1970.Einhorn worked very hard in the 60’s with the counterculture, anti-establishment and anti-war movements to promote peace and to the draw attention to our planet.
The bad:
In 1977 Ira Einhorn erased all the good he had done when he decided to kill his ex-girlfriend Holly Maddux out of jealousy.In 1981, just days before his murder trial was to begin Ira Einhorn fled to Europe where he lived peacefully for 16 years where he even married a Swedish woman named Annika Flodin.He was captured in 1997 and is currently serving a life sentence in the state prison at Houtzdale in central Pennsylvania.
