Keith Olbermann Fired:Matthews Olbermann MSNBC Cut
Keith Olbermann Fired:Matthews Olbermann MSNBC Cut – Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews will no longer be anchoring the remaining four debates and election night coverage on MSNBC.David Gregory will be the new anchor for the upcoming debates while Olbermann and Matthews will remain as analysts during the coverage.MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election. The change comes after MSNBC was accused of political bias.Davidson Goldin, formerly the editorial director of MSNBC and a co-founder of the reputation management firm DolceGoldin said:
“The most disappointing shift is to see the partisan attitude move from prime time into what’s supposed to be straight news programming.”
That’s all we have for now on Keith Olbermann Fired:Matthews Olbermann MSNBC Cut .

It is about time that MSNBC see what those two are doing. They are in the tank for Obama so much that I do not watch MSNBC anymore. It used to be my favorite station..But I want news and fair reporting and I do not want someone pushed onto me. Like they have done with Obama.

Thank God for Keith and Chris. When they started saying what we democrats were thinking and saying out here Comcast placed them from channal 47 to 128 I finally found them. My daughter said they told her she would have to pay $5 extra to get Keith. And If something comes up the republicans don’t like we done get to see him at all, like tonight he wasn’t on. I would sure like to see what they are trying to hide. We don’t get news we get what the white house wants us too. We have a Hitler in the white house now and McCain is in his pocket. After all Bush said he would like to be a dictator and he has just about got it that way-Is he going to tell us what we can think now? I hope we get to vote and they stop the voting fraud thats been going on.

Keith and Chris are two voices of reason in a political storm of lies and smears from the righteous right. I faithfully watch MSNBC because I trust both of them to deliver the true news, and they do. This smacks of censorship and Fox Network. I would ilke to nominate the senior brass at MSNBC that made this lame decision that panders to the McCain camp as “worst persons in the world!”

I dont think that many know anymore whats true or truth is. I know I didnt until a few months ago. Once i learned the reality of what is happening in America, it took me a little time to adjust mentally. Believe me, I STUDIED and made sure that what i was learning, being so contrary to what i had believed over all my life was true, i found that it was true. The evidence, and i mean evidence… showed me what was true and what was false.
All the last 30+ years that I thought i knew what truth was and defended it and those i THOUGHT were speaking it, I am now ashamed.
I dont know if those who are telling us what were told daily know these things, I seem to doubt that most do, although, im positive that some are aware of the truth.
Neither obama or Mccain are good for our country IF we value our freedom with the backing of US. Constitution and our economy and our soverignty.
It was less than 5 months ago where this was SAID BY MOST people in America! Do you remember thinking and understanding this? Nothing has changed. But, Now we have been believing lies in HOPES that we were wrong and we think that Mccain is good.
I would agree that he might be better than obama in reguards to our soverignty lasting a little longer, but both their agendas are not their own. And once you know the real facts that are not told by ANY main stream or sub-maintream news (ie, Rush, hannity, orielly etc)… you will understand WHY our nation is where it is. and I like Rush even if he is a member of the CFR. I doubt he knows what he is a member of…I hope.
Our hope for Americas future lies in YOU. yes you. We are in very sad, very close to economic depression that its teetering and according to EVERY single sound minded economist, we will fall soon. That is scary to me. what will they do when our money fails completely? I am not sure, but the Amero has been proposed and is not out of the picture yet. Google it. Please learn the truth. BUT, dont take my word as I didnt take anyones word, I found out the truth for myself.
below are two good sites, there are few more. Dont be fooled by fools who claim to know the truth or associate themselves with these sites.
Check all facts for yourself. Dont sleep until you do. it is that important. if you value American Freedom and your God given Liberties to be a free nation.

I like Olbermann. I hope hes not taken off air for very long. At least he asks questions! hardly anyone does that anymore. They just ‘accept’ what theyre told and report like zombies. This is NOT journalism. Reporting facts is. Questioning stories is. hes not like oreilly and hannity who BAN people and their actual names from their shows and forums from even being mentioned. What kind of journalism is that when you BAN those people who dont agree with? that is ONE sided. At least if you have the better reasoning, SHOW EM UP ON AIR and expose the lies, dont ban them.
If youre right you have nothing to worry about. He cant very well ban obama.
I was banned (for life) from hannity’s internet forum for mentioning ron paul in a thread (asking about he stood for was all I did) and that was before I even knew who he was! I didnt see any disclaimer or rule that i was not allowed to mention Ron Paul and is actaully what made me research Ron Paul and search for the truth. so, sean’s plan backfired and actually opened my eyes to the truth of whats really going on. I really liked sean too. really did. listened for years and defended him against the left!
I would also like to say that we really need to get past this left/right paradigm. It is a facsade. why didnt Ross Perot win? He had a LOT of votes. Although one of them was not mine i must admit, Perot was 100% dead on accurate with his views against NAFTA. NAFTA has almost ruined our economy, maybe it has. You ask those who are seeking work and know that their line of work is in another country being run by ppl who are being paid about 10 times less for wages and see.
just look for the truth! Dont take my word for it! SEARCH and find out. Just at least dont stop at one or two websites or books or reference points. you look if you care about your future or your kids future. I care!
If you look into it, NO third party has ever been elected. I wonder why? There have been some good candidates that would have been very good our counrty.
We have been at the mercy of the Federal Reserve since 1913, which is not federal at all, but a privately owned Central Bank) and recently deceived by the housing bubble that had prospered us falsley for the last decade probably to take away our eyes from the Iraq war. And i am not anti-war. I am against a war that is not for our sole defense. as in.. our DEFENSE program that seems to be an ‘offense’ program with a mis-leading name. I used to be pro-iraq war until I leanred how it was allowed. All by lies. All purposed lies to the American public. We are lied to and a wise quote says that “those who lie hate the ones who are lied to”. Now, the Fed has bursted the bubble, (because you can only fake it for so long before it crashes naturally anyway if it manipulated on purpose as it was) and now look where we are? in a BAD place economically. Dont believe the lies of Sean Hannity like I did. He said that we are not in a recession. I havent listened to him in about 3-4 months, so maybe hes telling us the truth now, i dont know. but when I was hearing him, he was saying that it was false to believe that were in a recession. Well, we are and have been. All reputable economists say so. They are ones who study the economy, they know. trust them, but not to doubtful diputations. find out whats true!
Where is america’s Gold? it has been gone since 1940’s. Gold is the only thing that the world accepts as a real currency. the paper FIAT money is not money. it is paper and will become useless in a short period of time.
Read the Creature from Jekyl Island. You can find it online for about $4.00 – it will be some of the best four bucks you ever spent if you like to know whats really going on.
i hope you at least look.

Does MSNBC think people are really that stupid? Any school kid can tell the difference between FACT and OPINION. The illusion of balance that organizations like Fox News give makes a mockery of journalism.
Sometimes the TRUTH has a liberal bias. Giving the same amount of time to the truth and a lie (eg, the global climate change ‘debate’) is not journalism.
It’s a sad day when people like Ed Gillespie can intimidate a media organization into changing not only their format, but the host themselves. Just look what happened to MSNBC’s # 1 show in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq hosted by Phil Donahue, long gone.
So much for a free media.

Let me get this straight…Fox news is fair? O’Reilly should wear a big McCain/Palin button and Hannity makes me sick with bias. So finally I found a station who at least gives the other side. Keith wasn’t afraid to ask the tough questions. Apparently it’s okay to lie, give half truths, inuendos, show cheap shots, show fake outrage, as long as it’s the Republican side doing it. The Republicans have turned this campaign into a mockery – hit hard, hit low and do whatever, & say whatever it takes to win. You get caught in a lie and keep repeating it. Their gutter politics have now become sewer politics and I don’t believe a thing they say exccept McCain when he said that he’ll do whatever it takes to win this election. “Maverick for Change” is idiotic. Where has McCain been for the past 8 years? He’s been a Bush man for 8 years and now he proposes change. The Republicans run out the back door and come in the front door- saying We’re new…we want change! The country is a mess, recession, economy, Wall Street collapsing, and it’s only going to get worse under the Republican administration. We need to be able to listen to a station that tells the facts. I really enjoyed watching Keith’s show. Shame on MSNBC for caving- it’s as if the Republicans own all the stations. There’s still Rachel Maddow. I wonder how much longer she’ll be on. Other than watching Rachel’s show-I will not turn on MSNBC- Fox is out. So much for “fair and balanced news. Is this new guy going to be a McCain?Palin puppet too- only bringing on the henchman from McCain’s party.

First of all I appreciated listening to Olbermann and Matthews from time to time to see what the view from the other side of the pond was. But then I saw how angry Olbermann was at everything in life… what an angry spiteful man. Not saying that O Reilly isn’t angry from time to time. But Olbermann is always angry and yelling at everything, every time I see him on t.v. As for bias, I think that all media sources have a bias.. Olbermann was no different as he supported Obama from the beginning, so please stop with the Fox is the only bias station and all news is republicrying.

* on another note I watched the news coverage from Fox, C.N.N., and MSNBC prior to and during the Republican National Convention, and both C.N.N. and MSNBC said Pallin had to blow it out of the water in order for her to give Mccain a chance at winning the election… however her speech was so eloquent that Olbermann,Matthews and many other news stations were speechless for about 2 days afterwards. Following which time Olbermann (as well as Matthews) grew hateful and angry again and started getting even more radical than usual which I believe is what led to them getting so many complaints from VIEWERS (keyword) that they got kicked off the air for the election coverage ONLY (apparently). Basically I do not mind when any news stations anchor goes off on their personal agenda as long as they do not become so hateful that they appear to be having seizures as Olbermann did. Debate without the hate.

I am a voter trying to be informed by watching different programs and reading different publications.I need to see both parties compared about the issues at hand.I DO NOT GET THIS ON MSNBC! This is what I get.
1. Obama must be perfect because I never hear Olbermann reporting on any gaffs or misquotes coming from him. People are NOT perfect so what’s up with that?
2. I do hear hour after hour of him spewing rabid bias verbiage about McCain.(Here again I will concede that nobody is perfect)
3. Nothing about Biden and his fact errors.
4. No help whatosever from this station in trying to make an informed decision.
5. Nothing about Obama calling McCain by the wrong name at least two times during the first debate. I am sure had that been McCain it would have been pointed out with breath taking speed how sinile he must be.
6. I did learn that there must be something very sinful about hunting.
I can’t believe that the people in power over this so called news program think that ranting endlessly on about only one part of this equation is helping Americans see both sides clearly in this election.

Jackie…it wasnt until the Reagan Administration that a president didnt want a national health care plan.
It was first proposed by FDR, and Eisenhower, JFK, and Nixon, all believed that there should be National Health Care. It was the insurance lobbies that worked to destroy the idea, and the Reagan Administration that finally did.
Clinton wanted it…as did Hillary. But again, the neocon Republicans destroyed that idea.
Now, we have reached a crisis. And, NO ONE, other than the very wealthy and the insurance lobby are against national health care.
Now, with a Democratic President, who has a good plan, a Democratic Congress, and many many independents AND Republicans…all middle class…there are very few who are not desperate to see Obama lead the way on this issue.
And dont forget who is NOW in the Senate…to lead the way. Senator Hillary Clinton!!!
For the first time in almost 30 years, I am confident that we ARE going to see progress on this important and vital issue…as long as we can keep this Constitutional Republic intact!

O’Donnell was even worse than that today. What happened with the thought that maybe they should report and the people can make up their own minds. I am in favor of voting for whoever the media hates the most. I am at the point that the only ones I trust less that the politicians are the media. I have been waiting for months for Olberman and Matthews to say that the country should bar Christians, Republicans and the heartland from even voting since they seem to think we are all a bunch of idiots and only they have the brains to make any good choices. You guys are a pitiful lot and a put a shameful name on media.

I guess I always thought of MSNBC as more liberal and Fox News as conservative. It sounds like that is surprising to many of you. No news is completely neutral nor will it ever be. We are fortunate in this day and age that we have access to the internet to do our own fact checking and with many news channels to choose from you can get a variety of points of view. Newspapers are not even without bias. If its important enough to you, you will take the time to do your own research and not depend on news channels to spoon feed you their version of the truth.

No MSNBC isn’t “fair and balanced”, but that is fine with me. Fox is in the right wing nut job category of news, and CNN is so afraid of being called the “liberal” media that nobody on that station, except Roland Martin will ask a hard question. I gave up on CNN after months of not asking about Tod Palin’s connection to the Alaska Independence Party or calling Sarah Palin out on these divisive, race baiting, riot inciting hate speeches she makes on a daily basis. Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow are the two shows that my family and I watch daily. Here in middle America we aren’t Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity loving ditto heads and we do like to hear our side of the political spectrum on television too! As far as I’m concerned, there’s no difference between O’Reilly & Olberman.
Their views may me complete opposites, but their tactics, sarcasm, and lack of respect for anyone with differing views/opinions is the same.
Basically they’re intellectual bullies, who believe they have no faults & that their words of wisdom should be taken as law. How can either of these guys (or any of their staunch supporters) be proud of their shows or themselves? How can they claim that they have a true talk show when the majority of their guests only reinforce their own beliefs? Last time I checked, you don’t get to the “truth” or a “fair & balanced” conclusion by asking a loaded question to someone who believes in everything you do. Isn’t that one of the calling cards of delusion?
It’s pretty sad to see people so strongly aligned with either of these guys. It seems many have lost the will or desire to independently research the issues, debate them with others, and develop a unique view that can be called their own. Instead, people listen to a couple minutes of these two clowns, assume it’s pure fact, and “poof” a biased, partisan, belief is born.

Just love how he constantly dedicates much of his “Worst Person” segment on FOX news anchors too. His garbage is broadcasted on the military overseas channels. I can no longer stomach his rhetoric. His non stop whining is just so pathetic, hard to beleive he gets paid for it. Just makes you wonder about those who employ him. Never has he mentioned anything good about any Republican. Finally, I guess MSNBC could no longer take the crushing viewer ratings posted on FOX. The only unfortunate part is that he will not be able to assist with the wealth redistribution plan; very sad indeed.

EileenMac, may I ask you a question? How old are you?
Maybe you are not old enough to remember the robust years when the Democrat’s controlled the House, Senate, and Presidency during the Carter Administration. What a wonderful period it was, we enjoyed some of the highest inflation, interest rates, and unemployment in the history of our country. Not to mention the sound judgement and skillful leadership that lead to the release of the American hostages held in Iran. What a coincidence that the hostages were released the very day Carter left the office and Reagan assumed the Presidency.
Makes me wonder why so many American’s are eager to return to the robust times of the past.

that is the only way we can make up our minds. maybe that is what msnbc is trying to do now. Maybe nbc,cbs and many other news agencys will follow suit. Let’s be fair.

I agree with you totally Joyce. Keith and Chris are true anchors. Aside from Tim Russert. It is a damn shame, that the Republicans are already attempting to steal the election. They keep talking about this “October” surprise that McCain has to reveal. This country is in the toilet. Republicans keep lying and deceiving even when they are caught red handed. And Sarah Palin is a joke and an insult to every woman on the planet.h Where are her views–McCain is totally out of touch along with her and her Waltons mentality. MSNBC is wimps to take KIeith and Chris off the air.

Hannity makes me want to puck with his bias along with O’Reily and his arrogrance–forget that he probably paid some woman to keep her mouth closed about their little affair. That is the America we live in. There is no originality with McCain or Palin. They stole Obama and Bidens campaign slogan. But no BODY COMMENTED ON THAT –THROUGH OUT THE ENTIRE ELECTION CAMPAIGN.

I honestly and totally agree with you Debb. I have come to enjoy watching Olbermann. I love his show. he speaks the truth. my favorite part is at the end when he gives us his one-on-one sum up of the show. I Love It. Olbermann gives it to you. He reports what going on. FOX news just tried to get one of Cnn’s news Reporter about an interview he did with palin.
I did enjoy greta van something show, but i don’t anymore. I do love shepard though. but I only tune in to cnn and msnbc when the people i like are on other than that i don’t support FOX anymore.

It is about time these two got the axe. I have quit watching MSNBC for years now because of it;s political bias. Oberman should go back to being a second rate sportscaster again. He is the most hate filled person on television. Chris used to be one of my favorites but who seemed fair and I don’t know what in God’s name happened to him unless he thought he was pleasing the top executives of the show. These guys need to remember that America is moderate to right in it’s thinking although now it seems it is going far left and everyone wants a piece of the government pie. The fortunes have turned with the economy in a downward spiral and this bodes well for the Democrates otherwise McCain would have had a better chance of winning this election and is still doing far better than anyone would under the circumstances.

WOW!! THERE IS A GOD FIRING THAT NUT CASE KEITH OLBERMANN IS THE BEST AND RIGHT THING MSNBC HAS DONE. CHRIS MATTEWS SHOULD BE GONE LET HIM SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIS BOYFRIEND. THEY BOTH SHOULD BE WORKING DIRECTLY FOR OBAMA.
I WATCH MSNBC AND THE NEWS THEY GIVE IS GENERALLY GOOD JOE AND HIS GOOD LOOKING PARTNER ARE OK. I ALWAYS WATCH CNBC AND I DO LIKE FOX. YOU DO NOT NEED NUTS LIKE MATTEWS AND OLBERMANN FOR GOOD NEWS CLEM LOPEZ

I hope you don’t think Morning (Right wing living in the 1990’s) Joe and Race to the White House with David (let any lie go) Gregory will carry your network. Not to mention Nuts like Pat (borderline racist) Buchanan spewing foolishness. Look at how it talk to blacks of open minded whites who don’t agree with him. It ain’t hard to tell. I can’t respect a foolish elder like that.
Lose Keith and Chris and you lose. MSNBC, you just stupid enough to learn the hard way. The Fox cheerleaders who cry foul won’t be supporting you that’s for sure. You will get what you ask for just like Wall Street.

I love Olbermann and Matthews. I find it refreshing to hear the slant from the other side after a day of listening to Republican Nazi’s quote Rush Limbaugh while at work.

For all the LOVE of Obermann & MSNBC, why are their ratings so far below that of the other cable news networks? Is it because few viewers have the stomach to listen to their ridiclously biased dribble? Their ratings are so low they barely have an audience. It well may be that the 3 people on here that like to watch that channel are 3 out of the 5 total viewers. May NBC and it affiliates suffer along with the NY Times and others who are Obama mouthpieces. I hold good journalism to the highest esteem, but none of this is worthwhile reporting………..it is solely biased editorialism and should be labeled as such.

It seem as though whenever we get some any newspeople their boss’s are afraid to let them air their opinions. Shame on you MSNBC. Bring Olberman and Matthews back. They were my reason for watching cable news. You have just lost A faithful viewer. I will still watch only Rachel.

MSNBC: You people are nothing more than scared little clones. You have no backbone and I will never watch you or listen to you again. As far as I am concerned you do not exist. These were problably the ONLY journalist on tv – nowadays, but I do realize that the media does not report news it CREATES and FABRICATES the news. Most of these O’reilly types are ignorant, uneducated, and unimaginative. They are hateful and arrogant bastards.
From now on, I will get my news via the internet from Youtube, etc. and news media overseas – at least they will report most of the TRUTH!

I am so disappointed that you pulled Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman off your network.
Everyday I looked forward to their programs and enjoyed them very much. I very much dislike O’Reilly and the fox network.
I can’t watch MSNBC because of the way you treat your newscasters. Why should fox news be the only one that has opinions on politics? I hope you will bring them back, or you will have lost another family from your listening audience.

To American in Japan, may I ask you a question?
Do you remember Ronald Reagan? He’s the Republican that got our country heavily into debt.
Do you remember Bill Clinton? He’s the Democrat that got us on the way out of debt. He left us with a budget surplus.
Do you remember Bush Jr. He’s the Republican that left this country in shambles. And the biggest socialist program of all…the 700B bailout.
Makes me wonder why so many American’s are eager to return to the robust times of the past.
Maybe you should think before you write. Talk about bias……

George Bush is a socialist. The greatest socialist progroam of all times … the 700 billion dollar bailout (welfare) for the greedy bankers who did to the economy what Reagan did to the country (raped it). Well, I do understand. It is only socialism if the “bailout” goes to working people (Blacks, Latinos, Jews) but if the welfare (bailout) goest to white owned businesses (Chrysler, GM, airline industry, banks) then it is an “investment in our economy”. What comes out of a bull’s ass?

shame on you for firing keith, and chris. i watch fox channel and the only thing i see is hannity, and oriely, and his pals talk the same talk. i guess it hurts when some one else see thing differently. hannity where were you on election night, guess you were somewhere washing mcain tears from his face now try spreading that around
Paula Hernandez | Nov 5, 2008 | Reply
The only reason I watch MSNBC is becasue I love the way Keith and Chris report. If the station were to start firing then why not the Moring Joe staff we could tell they were pro Mccain. If MSNBC were to totally quite airing Keith and Chris (& now Rachel) I would have to stop watching your news station completing! Your news station doesn’t lean eithier way just tells it like it is while Fox news is conservitive & will play every dirty trick to make the democrats look bad & CNN is strictly news. Thats why I love your station it keeps it very intresting. My 9 yr old daughter and I love watching together!

I had so much fun last night, watching MSNBC folks all happy and giddy because of Obama’s win. I was among them. Then I turned to Fox and watched Brit Hume look exactly like my basset hound after his dinner is gone. It was the most extreme example of what I had watched all year. MSNBC loves OBAMA and FOX hated OBAMA. So I watched both to see what was up. I usually tuned in to CNN because I liked and trusted David Gergen. Thank god for that guy.
Today, the Fox people are saying that Obama really is pretty centrist. HEE HEE. Wasn’t he a Marxist on November 3rd?
I hate to gloat but it was delicious. And it is true, Olberman is not unbiased but does he claim is isn’t?

From what I could tell, Keith and Chris were the most entertaining people you had. You even beat O’Reilly because of Keith. Now let’s think logically here. You managed to get higher ratings than the King of Fox himself, but you fire Keith because viewers didn’t like him? I’m highly confused. He never claimed non bias, unlike Hannity and O’Reilly. They were fun and entertaining. I’m smart enough to tell fact from opinion. Even when I didn’t agree with him I still found him to be entertaining.
Don’t be stupid, bring him back.

I think keith Olbermann & Racheal Meddows is now the ones who are being arrogant and smug, Where in the world do you get off thinking yourselfs better then anyone eles, To talk about the others the way you do. I cant stand your mean Mechine behavior, You dont have the guts to bring out the stuff that Matters to use, You have not brought out the facts about Obama, Like where was he born, he is not american, and you didn’t have the guts reveal the truth about him to use, and yes he is having all the same people the Clintons had in there presidental office, Oh he is going to change, Let you get all over this,

Keith Obermann is nothing but a one man version of the Jerry Springer show. I have to question the intelligence of anyone who says that he (Obermann) speaks for them. He is like so many politicians (both Dems and Reps); he accusses others of the behavior that he himself is guilty of.He is the networks response to Limbaugh, Hannity etc..get someone who ignitites the minds of mind numb lemmings.

MSNBC was a respected news source once some time ago. Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann two liberal new people needed to be released and a quaility middle of the road NEWS Person not a talking hateful news caster needs to be hired. People want the news not biased commentary. Rachel Maddow should be next and respectiability brough back to this company. What happeded to the Huntley, Brinkley, Marrows and the other great Reporters. I think they are rolling over in their graves ashamed to see what we have now. O’Reilly, Beck, Russ, and Shawn are no better either. I want news, I want the facts and let me judge what it all means.
