Ken Lewis Bank Of America To Retire – Bank of America has lost its CEO.Ken Lewis has left the company after months of criticism for his enterprise’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch & Co. Lewis decided on his own to leave but he was being pressured and push to the exit door after shareholders had stripped him of his chairman’s title earlier this year.Bank of America spokesman Bob Stickler said:

“He made the decision himself.The board was surprised when Ken told them what he wanted to do.”

A successor will be selected by the time Lewis steps down Dec. 31.
