Knut The Polar Bear To Be Stuffed

The world’s most popular polar bear, Knut who died earlier this week before a crowd of onlookers at the Berlin Zoo may also become the world’s most popular stuffed bear if reports are true that the German Zoo is planning to have him stuffed and put on display there.

A spokesman for the Berlin Natural History Museum is reported to have said that taxidermists have already begun the process by removing Knut’s fur and are debating on should the zoo put him on display.

Knut gained worldwide attention when his mother rejected him and his twin brother at birth. His brother died shortly thereafter but Knut was raised on the bottle by a zookeeper until he was healthy. He then gained the affections of people throughout the world as the cuddly little ball of white fur who was known for his rambunctious and playful nature. Songs, toys, books, were made about the bear and people traveled to the zoo to see him.

Suddenly earlier this week the bear began to have tremors, turned around several times, let out a cry and fell into the water of his preserve where he died shortly. Necropsy reports suggested some sort of brain malfunction as the cause of death.

Should Knut be put on display it will be a wonder to see how many people still flock to the zoo to see him in all his taxidermied glory.
