Lara Logan First Obama Interview Abroad - Lara Logan,of CBS News who was embroiled in a love triangle during a posting to Baghdad with Joe Burkett and Michael Ware,a CNN reporter has managed to get the very first interview of Senator Barack Obama who is currently traveling abroad.
Logan who is presently pregnant will interview Obama in Afghanistan on Sunday July 20th.A portion of the interview will be aired on “Face the Nation” then on “Evening News” on Sunday, and “The Early Show” and the “CBS Evening News” on Monday.
In addition, Katie Couric will also interview Obama on Tuesday in an unknown country that the campaign does not want to reveal for security purposes.Charles Gibson of ABC’s “World News” is scheduled for an Obama interview on Wednesday, and Brian Williams of “NBC Nightly News” will go Thursday.CNN and Fox News have also landed interviews while Obama is abroad.
The Obama campaign spaced out the bookings in order to build maximum suspense around his week-long, eight-country tour.Obama’s trip to Afghanistan and Kuwait this weekend is part of a congressional delegation, and he has no press but forty journalists,will be aboard his plane for next week’s swing through Jordan, Israel, Germany, France and England.
