Lipstick On A Pig Obama:Lipstick On A Pig Origin
Lipstick On A Pig Obama:Lipstick On A Pig Origin-Barack Obama is being accused of sexism and dishonesty, after he described his opponents usage of the “change” theme,as “lipstick on a pig”.Obama made the remark, while campaigning in Virginia. Here is exactly what the democrat said:
“The other side, suddenly, they’re saying ‘we’re for change too.’ Now think about it, these are the same folks that have been in charge for the last eight years.“You can put lipstick on a pig. It’s still a pig. You can wrap up an old fish in a piece of paper and call it change. It’s still going to stink after eight years. We’ve had enough.”
This comes only days after Sarah Palin joked about the difference between a hockey mom like herself and a pitbull “lipstick.”
Few months ago John McCain described Hillary Clinton’s health care plan using the same idiom:
“I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”
Lipstick On A Pig Origin:
If people put lipstick on a pig, they make superficial or cosmetic changes, hoping that it will make the product more attractive.
That’s all we have for now on Lipstick On A Pig Obama:Lipstick On A Pig Origin.

What exactly is the big deal? Are we being PC now about offending pigs? For God’s sake, it’s a cliche! General Petraus when he talked about the situation in Iraq and John McCain used it when talking about Hillary Clinton’s policies.
And the Right says the Left is sensitive? Now, that’s calling the “kettle black”.

I am 73 years old and I live in a University Town and I have never heard, “Lipstick on a Pig” used in political statement. Would you please tell me which politican ever used this statement until Sarah Palin. And now Obama has used it but she is pretty clever so I do not think she even cares if he slanders her or not. I hope she never skips and shows him as the saying goes, “where the bear sh–ts in the buckwheat.

I really cannot imagine that some of those who added comments here did not really know what Senator Obama was referring to was Senator McCain’s attempts to make his policy proposals SEEM like changes from Bush’s policies. The “lipstick” analogy had been used much earlier by McCain in referring to Hillary Clinton’s health care plan proposal, but was not leaped upon at that time as a slur against Senator Clinton or women in general. Thus, the McCain campaign’s attempt to create drama and disparity when Obama made that comment is merely another cheap shot, made in desperation because they have so little else to offer.
