Mark Fidrych:Mark Fidrych Dead The Bird – Mark Fidrych aka Mark “the Bird” Fidrych who was a Major League Baseball player for the Detroit Tigers from 1976-1980 was killed today in Northborough, Mass., at the age of 54.Mark Fidrych’s body was discovered under a dump truck in Northborough, that he was fixing.Joseph Amorello who did road construction for Mark Fidrych found the body and said:
“We were just, in general, getting started for the (road building) season this week and it seems as though his truck was going to be needed. It looked like he was doing some maintenance on it,” “I found him under the truck. There’s not much more I can say. I dialed 911 and that’s all I could do.”
