Maxine Waters Ethics Charges – Maxine Waters is facing 13 ethics violation allegations, which will add to the political troubles that Democrats have faced so far this year. She is under investigation for having helped OneUnited Bank, which is a bank that has ties to her husband. The Los Angeles congresswoman will be fighting the allegations in hopes that she will be able to clear her name and show that she was helping the bank without any ulterior motive.

Waters is an outspoken legislator who has held office in Sacramento and Washington for more than thirty years. She could not be reached for comment on the story, and will likely be keeping a tight-lipped approach.
The findings of the investigation into Waters will be made public on Monday. The investigation was done by the Office of Congressional Ethics, which is an independent watchdog organization that was created by Congress to watch over the moves of representatives to ensure that they are acting ethically.

Representative Charles B. Rangel is also facing a House trial on 13 ethics allegations. This will only compound with the problems that Waters is facing, and certainly does not bode well for Democrats. Rangel, 80, and Waters, 71, are long-serving politicians who have excellent ethics records despite the recent allegations.

Waters reportedly helped the bank to secure as much as $12 million in bailout funds. Her husband, oversees the committee in charge of banking, and helped the bank to meet with officials to secure the bailout money to help keep the bank afloat.

So much for the most transparent, ethical Congress this country has seen! Good work, Nancy!

Rangle & Waters. Two of my all time favorites. Now if we can only dig up some dirt on Waxman. That would be so sweet!
