McDonald’s,Wal-Mart Stop Some Tomato Sales
McDonald’s, Wal-Mart and few other giants have decided to stop selling certain tomatoes,for the the time being.U.S. health officials are trying to find out where a Salmonella outbreak came from.FDA Commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach,said yesterday:
“That could be a matter of a few days, it could be longer than that.”
Salmonella bacteria are the cause of food-borne illnesses.Symptoms often appear 12 to 72 hours after eating infected food and include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.You can check out an AP video report,after the jump.
