Meghan Mccain Cancels Juniata College Lecture To Party In Las Vegas
Meghan Mccain Cancels Juniata College Lecture To Party In Las Vegas – The daughter of Senator John McCain and bestselling author Meghan McCain cancelled a lecture on Friday at Juniata College. The reasoning that was given by her publicist was that a number of unforeseen professional responsibilities had come up that McCain was forced to attend to. Instead of giving the speech at the college, Meghan McCain was spotted in Las Vegas partying it up, and even Tweeted about being there, despite the fact that she had cancelled on her appearance and lied about why.
“First real time off in months,” she said in a Tweet. She also said that she was going to spend the rest of her time in the city resting up for the second half of her book tour, but would make a stop in Las Vegas.
Her mistake quickly caused a stir around the Internet, with numerous sites instantly reporting that she had lied about why she had changed her plans. The students were reportedly very upset, not that she had cancelled her appointment, but that she had lied about why.
The students in the school obviously felt like they deserved a better, more truthful explanation of why she would not be speaking at the college. Spokespeople for McCain did not immediately respond to the reports. She was supposed to have received as much as $7,500 for the appearance that she missed out on. Her lecture will reportedly be rescheduled, assuming that the college would even like her to come back.
