Migrant Mother:Dorothea Lange Katherine McIntosh – Migrant Mother photo is back in the headlines.The Migrant Mother is a picture taken by Dorothea Lange in 1936 and it later became the image of the Great Depression.In the photo Florence Owens Thompson can be seen with two of her seven children during very difficult times.Katherine McIntosh who was 4 years old when the photo was taken,told CNN:
“I wanted to make sure I never lived like that again.” “We all worked hard and we all had good jobs and we all stayed with it. When we got a home, we stayed with it.”
McIntosh, will be 77 on Saturday.

Oh God, this is a great picture, this is one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen, it is an “iconic” image for “mother” or “motherhood” she has all the determination in her eyes to protect and walk her kids through any “depression”, she still nourishes her kids from her deprived skiny body, she take from her life and to theirs …… It is a great photo for a giving mother. Who can do that today?
