Mint Julep:Mint Julep Recipe – The Kentucky Derby is not the Kentucky Derby without the famous and traditional Mint Julep that one must sip while enjoying the show.Here is a fairly simple recipe of Mint Julep:
* 2½ shots / 75 ml / 2½ oz bourbon
* ½ shot / 15 ml / ½ oz sugar syrup
* Handful of mint leaves
* Lightly muddle mint and sugar syrup together in a julep cup, then add Bourbon. Add crushed ice and stir drink gently until a frost forms on the outside of the cup. Top off with crushed ice and garnish with a sprig of mint.
