Miss California Carrie Prejean Vs Perez Hilton

Miss California Carrie Prejean Vs Perez Hilton – Carrie Prejean who is first runner-up in the 2009 Miss USA contest and is the current Miss California created controversy last night when she was asked the following question by Perez Hilton.
“Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage,” he said. “Do you think every state should follow suit, why or why not.”
Prejean responded:
“I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anyone out there but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman.”
Prejean lost the contest to Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton.
Perez Hilton who got really upset at Miss California wrote on his blog after the pageant:
“She gave the worst answer in pageant history. She got booed. I think that was the first time in Miss USA ever that a contestant has been booed. She lost not because she doesn’t believe in gay marriage. Miss California lost because she’s a dumb b****, OK?”" P.S. Sorry we called her a dumb b****. We were/are just soooo angry, hurt, frustrated by her answer.”
That’s the latest update on Miss California Carrie Prejean Vs Perez Hilton.

With all of the hype about freedoms to express ones self I find America very hippicritical in its view of Carrie. I admire her for her stance on true family values as well as true Christian values in the face of all of the hecklers out there who only respect someone with their own perverse views. This cost her the crown for Miss USA but won her the respect and honor of countless people and though you all might scoff at this comment it also won her a beautiful reward in heaven for not denying her faith and her values.

There you have it folks. Miss USA will always be chosen on political and religious viewpoints. Forget the talent and beauty portion of the show. I applaud Carrie Prejean for standing firm to her opinion no matter what the cost. It is no longer popular being a Christian in America. This country has largely lost its moral compass. To Carrie Prejean, I say thank you and God bless you. I found your courage inspirational. America needs more people like you. It’s Perez Hilton who made a fool of himself going on an emotional tirade on the Internet and slandering her name until he was blue in the face.

Dear Carrie,
I completely agree with the last posting. These sorely deficient and mis-guided individuals become unravelled when you don’t agree with their warped agenda.
I am happily married nearly 40 years. Carrie, you are a heroine for your bravery and honesty, We all have to stick to our beliefs now in these especially trying times.
You are the true People’s Miss USA and will always be remembered as the woman who stood up for what is morally true. God bless you, and I know He will.
