Mother Acquitted In Daughter’s Genitalia Piercing Case

A lady who had her 13 year old daughter’s genitalia pierced to keep boys from having sex with her was acquitted today.
The mother was accused of aggravated child abuse and could have faced up to 30 years in prison.
The girl now 16, had testified that her mother made a friend shaved her and forced her to get the piercing so she could be unattractive to boys,back in 2004.
A jury concluded that the woman’s actions didn’t involve punishment or malicious intent, nor cause permanent damage or disfigurement.
The girl said:
“She was trying to protect me, but it hurt me,” the girl testified earlier this week. “It not only hurt me physically, but it hurt me mentally. … That’s emotionally scarring. That’s physical abuse.”
The mother said that she took these actions because her child was sexually active prior to that, including with the mother’s boyfriend.
Defense attorneys for the woman explained that she was having trouble with her rebellious daughter and that the girl had agreed to get the piercing.
I guess there are always two sides or two vaginas in every story.
