On the last demonstration I attended, I was indignant at the site of two guys marching along with a huge communist flag spread between them. I asked them what they were doing and instead of getting the long half-baked diatribe you would expect from a college-aged lefty who had just discovered Marxist theory I simply got a sneering smile and no answer. There are ways to destroy a demonstration that don't involve horses, riot gear and teargas. I’ve marched many times against the war and other Bush excesses.
