Navy Seals Rescued Captain Richard Phillips – U.S. Navy snipers killed three pirates who were about to execute Capt. Richard Phillips.Vice Adm. William Gortney, head of the U.S. Naval Central Command, during a Pentagon briefing in Bahrain said:
“They were pointing the AK-47s at the captain.”
Richard Phillips, who was being held in a lifeboat adrift in the Indian Ocean since Wednesday, was rescued unharmed whereas three of the four pirates were killed.
