May I make a suggestion for inclusion in plans to help the economy… I note that Ford will market ECOnetic, in Europe,a car that gets 65 mpg but cannot market it in the USA. It’s diesel powered and, admittedly, Americans are not fond of this fuel. It is more expensive than gas. BUT, having driven a diesel powered car, I know they are not discernably different from gas-powered cars. At 65 mpg, it’s worth getting used too. A major barrier appears to be the added tax on diesel fuel … some $.40 to $1.00 per gallon. Lets consider omitting this tax …it will help spur sales of new-tech diesel cars AND aid truckers/reduce costs … possibly reducing or holding down costs of consumer goods. A “win-win” situation. PS I do not work in the auto industry or represent Ford in any way. Jim Glickman, Harrington Park, NJ 07640 phone: 201-768-2806
I submitted an email yeaterday hoping to get a reply in my request to send the transition office my suggestions and a powerful paradigm which could have a powerful positive effect on our health care systems in America. I am willing to send a four page letter with 10 prescriptions that I would like to see Obama consider. Before I send them I would like to have some assurance that they would be considered and read. I voted for Obama, even though a republican, and I am willing to do my part in helping the cause of change, especially in the health care system. Thank you E.L. Hollenberg M.D. P.S. To whom shall I send my prescriptions?
What happened to “CHANGE”. This cabinet looks like recycled Clintonism to me?
