Nancy Sutley Obama - Nancy Sutley has been appointed by President-elect Barack Obama to head the White House Council on Environmental Quality.Sutley who is currently the Deputy Mayor for Energy and Environment for the City of Los Angeles is the first prominent member of the gay and lesbian community to earn a senior role in the new administration.AP wrote:
Sutley supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton during the Democratic primary and was a member of her Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender steering committee.
The deputy mayor for energy and environment in Los Angeles and the mayor’s representative on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Sutley has a long record of working on environmental and natural resources policy.

Jesse Jackson Jr. Senate Candidate 5:Blagojevich Candidate 5 - Jesse Jackson, Jr. is apparently “Senate Candidate Five,” according to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.Blagojevich revealed that Jackson’s camp wanted to pay over a million dollars in exchange of the Senate seat.ABC News wrote:
Jackson Jr. said “I don’t know” when asked if he was Candidate #5, but said he was told “I am not a target of this investigation.”Jackson Jr. said he agreed to talk with federal investigators “as quickly as possible” after he consults with a lawyer.The Congressman, a son of the famed civil rights leader, denied that anyone had been authorized to make payments or promises to the Governor on his behalf.”It is impossible for someone on my behalf to have a conversation that would suggest any type of quid pro quo or any payments or offers,” Jackson Jr. told ABC News. “An impossiblity to an absolute certainty.”

Blagojevich Indictment:Rod Blagojevich Arrested - Rod Blagojevich who is the governor of Illinois has been arrested for trying to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat.According to reports:
Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich of Illinois was arrested by federal authorities on Tuesday morning and charged with corruption, including an allegation that he conspired to profit from his authority to appoint President-elect Barack Obama’s successor in the United States Senate, prosecutors said.
Blagojevich was released on a $4,500 bond just moments ago.
