Palin Gaffe:Palin Freddie Mac Fannie Mae Gaffe Video – Palin gaffe video has surfaced. In the clip Sarah Palin who was campaigning in Colorado Springs, said that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had “gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers.”Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research explained:
“You would like to think that someone who is going to be vice president and conceivable president would know what Fannie and Freddie do.” “These are huge institutions and they are absolutely central to our country’s mortgage debt. To not have a clue what they do doesn’t speak well for her, I’d say.”
Fannie and Freddie are private mortgage loaners therefore they have no link to the taxpayers money.

Apparently, she was right. Who’s going to pay for the bailout? You and me.

Ummmm…there’s a $200 billion (that’s billion with a “B”) federal bailout in the works. The big news to the person who called Palin’s remarks a “gaffe” is that the federal government gets its money from the taxpayers.
