In Governor Sarah Palin’s resignation statement, she said that frivolous lawsuits and stupid attacks are costing Alaska huge amounts of money as well as administration time and energy.

Knowing that she and her staff had already accomplished most of the goals they had set out to accomplish, and not wanting to further burden Alaska with the cost of idiotic attacks directed at her and her family, she bravely made the right decision and stepped down.

Now, she is free to speak as she needs to without concern that senseless new attacks will cost Alaskan taxpayers more. No more will the idiots be able to use the Governor’s office as leverage to try to stop her.

As she said, no more politics as usual. This move was brilliant in that it snatched from the jerks their ability to mess with her via empty ethics complaints. I bet that left them pretty surprised. Now all their left to attack with is ‘name calling.”

Neither Sarah Palin nor the people that love and support her will disappear into the night. What many on the left, and even in McCain’s slimy camp, is that half of America really does support her.

It doesn’t matter to me whether or not she runs for President. That’s not the point, and I don’t believe that was the point of her resignation. Sarah has always been straight forward. She’s never hidden her thoughts and plans. That’s the reason so many on the left have chosen to dislike her. (Including the slobs who ran McCain’s campaign). I believe what she said in her statement was very well said, and exactly what she meant. Which is why so many of the rest of have chosen to love her.

Having made the courageous decision she has made, she has only made us love her more. Sarah Palin – we’re behind you, and we desperately need many more like you. May God Bless you and your family in whatever path you take over the next few years.

she never hid her plans? I just wish she would give a straight answer for once, she did not even tell us really why she quit…

    Emily. really? really?
You have been snowed my poor girl. So naive. I am truly an independent and am not saying this because I *need* to.
Half the country does not like her. Half the country liked McCain and was able to see beyond Palin.
You have been lied to. And the saddest part is you don’t even see it.

“Lisa’s” comment tells you all you need to know about Palin and the people who support her. Every attack on The Dear Leader is ’stupid’ or ‘idiotic’ and everyone who attacks her is a ‘jerk.’ On the other hand, nothing Palin does (up to and including breaking the law) is anything other than faultless. This really is the level of thought that nourishes personality cults and authoritarian regimes the world over. America is better than that. Heck, North Korea is better than that.

I am still amazed that this person, probably truly qualified to run a medium-sized elementary school AT BEST, has gotten as far as she has in politics. POWER TO THE DUMMIES!!

Palin is a failure, but even worse a quitter. Despite that she might still garner 40% of the popular vote due to her conversative celebrity status. I think that’s the real “scandal” in all of this.

How can women respect her? Don’t get me wrong she’s had to do at least a few good things in her life, for christ sakes though she was going to set back womens sufferage 90+ years. you have to see that. how can you not see that?

Ooh Liiiiissssaa [to be pronounced slowly] , it appear’s that this is the first blog/site I’ve found , where you are the only dummy to look the other way. I don’t even have to bash your naive post , because these other post did it for me. I think by resigning though , it is clear , Sarah Palin is trying to disappear into the night. You just happen to be one of the few idiot’s willing to follow her. Shame on you , for not being smart enough to realize , that when a politician leaves office under investigation , some sort of wrong [legal or illegal] has already been done. They are just in many cases being allowed to avoid world-renowned embarrassment. She doesn’t give a damn about Alaskan taxpayer’s paying more money for meritless claim’s , she doesn’t want Alaskan taxpayer’s to be pissed-off for having to pay more taxes for her fuck-up’s coming to light.
