Palin Interview:Charlie Gibson Sarah Palin ABC Interview

Palin Interview:Charlie Gibson Sarah Palin ABC Interview - Here is Palin’s interview transcript where she talked about her experience, and a potential war with Russia. The Charlie Gibson/Sarah Palin will air tonight on ABC.
GIBSON: Governor, let me start by asking you a question that I asked John McCain about you, and it is really the central question.

Can you look the country in the eye and say “I have the experience and I have the ability to be not just vice president, but perhaps president of the United States of America?”

PALIN:

I do, Charlie, and on January 20, when John McCain and I are sworn in, if we are so privileged to be elected to serve this country, will be ready. I’m ready.

GIBSON: And you didn’t say to yourself, “Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I — will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this?”

PALIN:

I didn’t hesitate, no.

PALIN:

I — I answered him yes because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can’t blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we’re on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can’t blink.

So I didn’t blink then even when asked to run as his running mate.

GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church, “Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God.” Are we fighting a holy war?

PALIN:

You know, I don’t know if that was my exact quote.

GIBSON: Exact words.

PALIN:

But the reference there is a repeat of Abraham Lincoln’s words when he said — first, he suggested never presume to know what God’s will is, and I would never presume to know God’s will or to speak God’s words.

But what Abraham Lincoln had said, and that’s a repeat in my comments, was let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time, but let us pray that we are on God’s side.

That’s what that comment was all about, Charlie.

GIBSON: I take your point about Lincoln’s words, but you went on and said, “There is a plan and it is God’s plan.”

PALIN:

I believe that there is a plan for this world and that plan for this world is for good. I believe that there is great hope and great potential for every country to be able to live and be protected with inalienable rights that I believe are God-given, Charlie, and I believe that those are the rights to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

That, in my world view, is a grand — the grand plan.

GIBSON: But then are you sending your son on a task that is from God?

PALIN:

I don’t know if the task is from God, Charlie. What I know is that my son has made a decision. I am so proud of his independent and strong decision he has made, what he decided to do and serving for the right reasons and serving something greater than himself and not choosing a real easy path where he could be more comfortable and certainly safer.

When Gibson said if under the NATO treaty, the United States would have to go to war if Russia again invaded Georgia. Palin responded:

“Perhaps so. I mean, that is the agreement when you are a NATO ally, is if another country is attacked, you’re going to be expected to be called upon and help.
“And we’ve got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable,”

That’s all we have for now on Palin Interview:Charlie Gibson Sarah Palin ABC Interview.

Governor Palin has the poise, intellect, record, popularity and the agenda to be the first woman VP of US.

Palin skirted around a lot of the questions Charlie simply wanted a yes, or no response. Don’t be caught up by her being a woman, gender should not matter. She emblished several credentials that were on her resume. Example: Selling the private plane on Ebay for a profit. It actually wasn’t sold on Ebay, but was purchased by someone else. It was sold as a lost in revenue not profit. We need leaders who will tell the truth not make things up to sound good. Because of George Bush not telling the truth about “Weapons of Mass Destruction” we are now in a war that never should have taken place. Thousands of live being lost on a daily basis because someone didn’t have their facts straight.
We all as Americans need to pray for sound leadership in 2009.
    GOD BLESS AMERICA.

john kennedy prayed for gods will, abe lincoln, roosevelt did as well. roosevelt on d-day prayed for 6 minutes on the radio for gods will….why don’t we here about that? it’s because todays media are freaked out by god and are secular thinkers, self centered and self gratified and don’t have america’s best interest at heart. oh and jr..we did find wmd’s yellow uraniun that could be used to make dirty bombs or to the 24 fans…briefcase bombs. we found them in 2004 but odly we didn’t hear about it or at least it didn’t make to the news until recently. hummm wonder why

Alot of talk about Sarah Palin telling lies. I have not seen the Gibson interiew as yet. But plan to. However, let’s check Joe Biden and the incident with the death of his 1st wife and baby. He is a liar and the papers prove it. He has been speaking to crowds as early as his run for the presdiential race, accusing the truckdriver in the accident (in which it was proven not to be the truckdriver’s fault), of “drinking his lunch”. Unfortuneately, Mrs. Biden ran the stop sign, causing the accident and this (now deceased) truckdriver was cleared of any wrongdoing. No alcohol involved at all. His family has suffered by Joe Biden’s lies. Who is the liar!!
Check Delaware State News/Wilmington Journal. Contact WGMD Talk Radio in Delaware. Haven’t heard much about this big lie on the mainstream media. But it will make it there, if it has not already.

It’s amazing how man people would actually vote for this womem; god help america if this is what this world has come to. GOP is spinning this women like crazy, she is being spoon fed all of her talking points which proves the point that outside of Alaska she has no clue; everyone that stand up for this women, that just out right lies for political reasons this says a lot about you; i she has eexperiance but ask yourself if she has the experience to be president of the USA! Unreal what has this world come too? She is being made out to be something she is not; i’m all for women, i support HRC but i would be hard pressed to support someone man or women that share the same vaules of the current administration

I want someone who is way more intellectual and stronger than me to be President or VP. Why some people only want to elect the person who whey can see themselves into? Because it makes you feel good about urself that someday u could be a president 2? This s nuts. McCain gambled when he made the choice about Palin, who clearly does not have the knowledge to be a VP candidate. It shows me he would rather to put this country into jeopardy than losing the election. Stop complaining about Gibson being too critical. Yeah, he does look like he had a bad attitude, but it was totally necessary for him to ask what he did because a future VP or maybe president should know what Bush Doctrine is which is one of the most important polices for the past 6 yrs that had a deep impact to this country. If you don’t know, check Wikipedia and think of the movie “Minority Report”. Religion and abortion can not solve any problems that really matter to this country and the world right now. Is there an Angel who will fly down here to help us with Wall Street crisis if we pray every night? God is a spirit, not some old guy with long hair and beard. Last time i checked, that is just a regular human being.

I watched the interview and you could clearly see that she didn’t have the first clue what the BUSH DOCTRINE was….guess they didn’t prep her for that. Although I will admit that I didn’t know either….but I’M NOT RUNNING FOR PUBLIC OFFICE…HELLO!!!

This is how I feel. McCain is using this woman to be President. He felt so threatend by Obama that he had to get a female. He could have gotten a female who kids were already grown. I don’t approve of her as his running mate. She is a mother to 3 kids who needs their “hockey mom” just as she was for her other kids who are grown now. Maybe if she really knew her kids or was very close to the daughter that is pregnant she could have been there to tell her that having sex in a hurry can lead to situations like the one she has put herself in.
