Rape Victim Had Illegal Affair Says Saudi Arabian Government

The Saudi Arabian government has finally decided to clarify the reason why a woman who was abducted by seven attackers then raped was being punished.The kingdom’s Ministry of Justice released a statement saying:
“illegitimate relationship” with a man who was not her husband, and that both “exposed themselves to this heinous crime.”
The 19-year-old woman was initially sentenced to 90 lashes for meeting with the man while the rapists received sentences ranging from 10 months to five years in jail.
