Shawn Johnson & Nastia Liukin Olympic Gymnastics Spots

16 years old Shawn Johnson who is the 2007 all-around women’s gymnastics world champion, won a spot to the Beijing Olympics after a brilliant performance at the US Olympic trials that aired on NBC. Nastia Liukin has also been selected to be on the US Olympic women’s gymnastics team.Johnson who is from West Des Moines, Iowa said:
“This is only the beginning,” “I am just overwhelmed with joy. I am so happy. This moment is all worth it.”
Liukin added:
“I am really ecstatic to be named to the team,” Liukin said. “I can’t believe it’s here. This is a dream come true.”
The other members of the team will be revealed following the final training camp to be held July 16-20 in Houston.
