Southern California Storms 2010: California Rain Breaks Records

A recent series of especially severe winter storms have threatened parts of California with excessive flooding, prompting a number of warnings to residents that were sent out via television broadcasts.

Officials say that the areas consisting of Southern California will be hit the hardest by these winter storms and that the residents should prepare for what is still to come. Some officials even warned of possible mudslides in parts of Santa Barbara as well as Los Angeles counties.

The National Weather Service announced that the coming storms are going to bring a lot of rain and that residents in these parts of the Golden state should start preparing for the natural disaster that is up ahead.

The agency went as far as to say that these storms could be among the largest they have seen in this area of the country in the last ten years.

Northern California did not escape without its fair share of misfortune, getting a total of 5 inches of rain over the weekend along which officials warned San Franciscans about.

There was even talk about distributing sandbags among the residents in this area for those who are especially concerned about flooding on their property.

There is no doubt that this winter will bring all sorts of destruction and chaos for all parts of the state.
