The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Starting with his “walking off a base with Afghan colleagues” to the fact that the “terrorists” have to know that all this is going to do is galvanize the American people – so then you’d have to ask yourself, who would benefit the most from this especially during a time when the Taliban really don’t need to rely on propaganda, as their battle in the field is going quite well? And who could have arranged for a GI to walk off a base by himself in the middle of a war zone?
