Teacher Beats Student:Sheri Lynn Davis Isaiah Johnson Beating Up Caught On Tape – Recently a cell phone video camera captured the beating of a student by a teacher in a Houston-area Charter School. When the beating first began, many students thought that they were having a joke played on them, but that quickly turned ugly as the beating became more violent. According to students who were present when the beating took place, the student-victim of the incident, Isaiah Johnson, other teachers were also standing and watching as the beating take place. Apparently, the P.E. teacher lost it after a mentally handicapped student was made fun of while dancing.

Perhaps Johnson was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and just happened to be the chosen one for the beating in this case. It is unclear if the problem that made the P.E. teacher snap was an ongoing problem or if it was an isolated incident. At the beginning of the attack the students are laughing, but the laughs quickly disappear when the beating continues to progress and become more brutal.
The boy also reported that the P.E. teacher had hit his head against the wall, and had caused a large knot to form on the back of his head. The teacher has been placed on administrative leaving, pending an investigation into the incident. Judging by what was shown on the tape, the investigation should not take long as the P.E. teacher is clearly guilty of beating the child.

How is a student “just in the wrong place at the wrong time”, he’s a student, in school, during school hours!!! How is that the wrong place at the wrong time??? Poor kid.

    2. Bubba says:

Thank God there was a teacher with enough nads to put this little smart “a” in his place. Picking on a disabled student is the lowest of the low.

      • Rosie says:

I agree! I will wager that is the first ass-whipping that kid ever got, and if his mother had administered a proper SPANKING a time or two when he was little, his behavior might not have brought him to this place and situation (i.e. a man-sized ass-whipping for DESPICABLY picking on a little handicapped girl).

        • Hamdan says:

You have a point the student needs to be taught a lesson, but the teacher has absolutely no right to lay a finger on a student. She should have left the parenting to the parents, and another point is their children! Children will be children, its not strange that he picked on a disabled person, they are young and feeble-minded.
The parents should have been informed and the child should have forced to take part in a diversity activity.

I tell you, what is this world comming to, as a parent of two kids and one grandchild, I cannot imagine what this boy parents had to go through, I would have been sitting in the cell next to this teacher, because no one I mean no one puts they hands on my kids, she needs to be in jail and if she has any kids they need to be removed from her home, I could sit here all day and comment on this but I have work to do, but shame on you, and I hope you get exactly what you deserve, Jail time.

Bring back the paddle and quit listening to these idiot shrinks. If I had made fun of any handicapped child when I was in school my dad would have wore me out with a switch. I work in a public school and alot of the problem with certain kids these days are parents like the lady above. Administators in many schools are at there wits end because the parents do not want there children to be diciplined. Many who refuse to lay a hand on their child may be visiting them in prison some day.

Yes chidren are difficult to tend to and this is why you should have people in these positions with a high level of tolerance. Sherry Davis should have charges brought against her for assault , child endangerment and she should not get no probation time she should serve jail time for her actions. The other teachers should be fired for allowing it to go on for as long as it did. If that was my child I would be in jail for beating Sherry Davis’s ass. Then the courts would through the book at me for assault on a female, and I would get jail time. She should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Firing her is doing nothing , but sending a message to other teachers that they have the right to abuse children.Yes the child is troubled in some way, and that should give the teachers more incentive to reach out more. Stop hiring just any person off the corner to take care of our children’s needs far as education and other special needs. More qualification is needed to work with our children in the school system.

    6. DM says:

I don’t agree with the abusive behavior. Have I had some disrespectful and rude kids in my class? Yes!The thoughts that crosses ones mind. Especially when they jump in your face and proceed to tell you what they are going to do and not going to do.these are not middle school or high school students. So you see it just doesn’t start in middle school or high school. Parents are many of our students’ biggest problem. They have told their children that they don’t have to listen to any one. I say homeschool them. They won’t do that because they don’t want them at home with them either. They send their little darlings and some big darlings to school with the mind-set that everyone is out to get them. Most parents transfer their bad experiences with education over to their kids. Let’s get a grip. We are losing an entire generation. A generation that can’t read and their future is in a local fast food restaurant. If they can do that.

I am a teacher, and I don’t care what the little boy said or did. It is not our place as a teacher to beat on someone elses child. Eventhough they do get on your last nerve and you wished they were yours for 15 quick minutes, but they are not. Trust I have wanted to beat a few myself, but guess what I am not that STUPID!!!! THE TEACHER IS AN IDIOT!!Those are other peoples children. Do what you can and send them home!!!!
