Ted Haggard New Life Church Announcement

Ted Haggard New Life Church Announcement – Ex-pastor Ted Haggard recently announced his future plans for his career. The pastor was involved in a 2006 gay sex scandal (that also included some claims of drug use, although those were never substantiated), and announced today that he plans to start a brand new church in his home town. He was previously responsible for building the New Life Church community into a place that housed over 14,000 people. He would later rise to become the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, but was later forced to leave after making the admission that he had been involved in a gay sex scandal.

With the scandal clearly behind him, Haggard is looking to restart, and expand on the prosperity he once had. The new church has already begun to hold sporadic prayer meetings, and Haggard has said that he hopes the new church will prosper just as the old one had. The name of the new church will be St. James, according to reports. However, insiders have said that the St. James name was only chosen to keep the accounting in order, as Haggard is paid quite often to speak around the country.

Haggard waited until his problems were behind him to make the announcement that came today. Who knows if he will be accepted back into the community that once drove him out on the heels of his scandal.

He’s still gay. No matter how much he fights it, and no matter how many times a day he begs to his god, he doesn’t have the choice to overthrow his biological chemistry. He’s gay through and through.

Bresin, what on earth gives you the authority to make that statement?!? I would think that Ted is in a much better place to define his sexuality than you are!!! he says he’s straight…if you really follow his story you would understand more of what caused the issues in him that caused the behavior. People make choices in life, he chose to repent and I believe him. Maybe you should try extending a little compassion for the guy and let him be the one to define what he is or is not.
