Tony Blair A Journey Book Tour: Memoirs Signing Cancelled – Being leader of a nation, and sending young people to an unpopular war that, seemingly, wasn’t their own war, makes you a target for protesters, even after you’re out of power.

Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister, that allowed the U.K. to go to war in an alliance with America, has had to call off a signing of his book, titled ‘A Journey’, in which he memoirs his life and times, which has cause controversy and received angry responses from those opposed to the war in Iraq.

Blair’s last appearance, in a bookstore in Dublin, was marred by protesters who threw shoes and eggs at the former Prime Minister in response to the war that still continues today in Iraq, and the misinformation used by his government to give the go ahead to sending troops.

What was to be his next appearance, at Waterstone’s Bookstore in London on Wednesday, has been cancelled by Blair, stating that while the metropolitan police force would do a good job of keeping the peace, it’s unfair that a book signing take away resources and time from the real job of police, and that he wishes not to cause hassles for those who work in and around the area due to his presence.

It was OIL in north Iraq that switched venue from Afghanistan to Iraq, together with arrogant “cowboy” attitude from Cheney to leave for Iraq to protect their interests without any regard for Iraqis. There was an unholy alliance between U.S. and England. Blair should have stood his ground but was pressured by his gov’t. and U.S. He was vilified for being so “obedient” to U.S. attitude.
